6 - Re-connect the cabling, cancel the fault code and start the engine to check that the fault has disappeared

P0505   Stepper engine/cabling damage

Check and note the data on the display of the diagnostic instrument (see Axone instruction manual) if available.

Check and note the data on the sensor of the diagnostic instrument (see Axone instruction manual).

Make sure that the sensor is inserted correctly and the connector fixed well.

Disconnect the ECM and proceed to location test 1.

1 - Check the integrity of the terminal and the cable:

- ECM pin 1/E1

- ECM pin 1/E2

- ECM pin 1/F1

- ECM pin1/F2

2 - Check the resistance value:

- ECM pin 1/E1 at ECM pin 1/F1

4 - Check the continuity of the cable:

- ECM Pin 1/E1at pin A of the stepper connector

- ECMPin 1/E at pin B of the stepper connector

- ECM Pin 1/F2 at pin C of the stepper connector

- ECM Pin 1/F1 at pin D of the stepper connector

5 - Check the continuity of the cable for short circuiting:

- ECM Pin 1/E at ECM pin 1/F1

- ECM Pin 1/E2 at ECM pin 1/F2

6 - Check the resistance of the stepper engine

- Between pin A / pin D

- Between pin B / pin C

7 - Re-connect the cabling, cancel the fault code and activate the functional test of the diagnostic equipment (see Axone manual) to view the checking operations of the stepper engine.

P0201/02/03   Injection plant damaged– 2/

1/3. Failure to ignite indicates open circuit.Flooding indicates short circuit.

Check and note the data on the display of the diagnostic instrument (see Axone instruction manual) if available.

Make sure that the relative injector connectors are correctly inserted.

Disconnect the ECM and proceed to location test 1.

P1201/02/03   Open or short circuit – injectors 2/1/3. Test 1.

P1205/06/07  Short circuit at the battery positive pole (+) - injectors 2/ 1/3.

Disconnect the relative injectors and proceed to location test 5.

1 - Check the integrity of the terminal and the cable:

- ECM 1/G3 pin

- ECM 1/H3 pin

- ECM 1/H2 pin

2 - Check the value of the resistance:

- ECM pin 1/H4 at ECM pin 1/H3 (injector 2)
